Forever and always my souls was a sea

All currents and creatures

unseen.

It waved and glittered in sunshine

but most

was hidden in depths from the day


But you,

oh my moon,

hung the light I adored

And my sea stretched to hold you in love

For the first time in eons I yearned for the stars

In your name

I believed I could soar
