Tending

It has been long and I have been

Weeding, fingers neath my skin

Pulling tender roots from my veins

and raining.

These planted in me

Growing as they can

My body cannot be a meadow without

Flowers and things to eat

And so I bury them

Contra diction, I know, I don't understand

Merely pray that they forgive me

Their lives were mine and I

Must pluck them

Lest they spread like wildpyre
