Ever further, to me she bade

Into a land I'd never made

Where they spoke in words I could not see

And soon the path was lost to me

I've wandered for a time and long

And know not where my steps went wrong

This labyrinth, lovely dark and deep

Forbids the sun and peaceful sleep
